Washington, D.C. DOJ Spokesperson Joshua Stueve, a senior spokesperson, has stepped down, citing a “hostile and toxic” work environment in his resignation letter to department leadership.

Stueve, who has served under multiple administrations from both parties, did not hold back in his letter, stating, “Simply put, I cannot continue to serve in such a hostile and toxic work environment, one where leadership at the highest levels makes clear we are not welcomed or valued, much less trusted to do our jobs.”

His departure has sparked fresh concerns about internal discord within the DOJ. While no specific officials were named, Stueve’s strong words hint at deeper tensions behind the scenes.

The DOJ has not yet commented on the resignation.DOJ Spokesperson
