Shaktikanta Das Appointed as Principal Secretary-2 to PM Modi

Former Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das has been appointed as Principal Secretary-2 to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved his selection, with an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday.

According to the order, Das will assume office immediately, and his tenure will be co-terminus with the Prime Minister’s term or until further orders. His appointment places him alongside P.K. Mishra, who has served as Principal Secretary to the PM since September 11, 2019.
